After the first week...

So, I'm already into my second week of second semester. It seems to be going fairly well, and I think I'll have more free time this semester, which is always good, right? Well, anyway, thought I'd just throw out a couple Haiku since I'm dodging homework... I mean, enjoying my free time. Well, here they are. No particular influences for these I don't think.

Darkness smothering,
Shadows swirling all around,
Darkness descending.

Snowdrift

Leaping playfully,
Joyfully taking each step,
To the drifted snow.

New Year's Post

Well, it's currently four in the morning as I am writing this so we'll see how it goes. This will just be a single Haiku, as I come up with it. The theme will be... Hmmm... End of the old beginning of the new? Sure, we'll go with that. Well, here's the Haiku, hope you like it. Enjoy.

Anticipation,
Breath held, Eagerly waiting,
Watching the clock tick;

Friends gathered around,
Excitement thick in the air,
The clock counting down;

A hand held tightly,
A brief glance of excitement,
Time ever closer;

The moment arrives,
A shout, a yell, a small glance,
A smile, a hug;

The moment has passed,
Soft words amid rowdy noise,
A joyful future.

Happy New Year everyone! Title suggestions would be extremely helpful for this one, as I would like it titled, but I can't think of one that fits... If I use a title someone suggests I will give credit to that person. Have a good year everyone!
